  • Friday October 4th from 5 PM to 8 PM (in-store): Witches Night Out. A mall event to enjoy a ladies night out of shopping.
  • Sunday, October 13th from 4 PM to 5 PM (in-store): Wonderful Woodpeckers. Learn about these reliable bird feeder visitors.
  • Sunday, October 20th from 4 PM to 5 PM (in-store): Bats of Michigan. Learn about why these flying mammals are important to the ecosystem.
  • Friday, October 25th from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM (in- store): BooFest. An event that welcomes kids of all ages to go trick-or-treating throughout the mall.

September 2024 Events

  • Tuesday, September 3rd 7PM - 8 PM (Hartland Audubon): Bats of Michigan. Check with the Audubon Society for reservation details.
  • Sunday, September 8th 4PM - 5PM (in-store): Caching is Cool. Call the store to reserve your seat.
  • Thursday, September 12th 6PM - 7PM (Fowlerville District Library): Flyways Migration Documentary: Viewing and Q&A. Check with the Library for reservations.
  • Sunday, September 15th 4PM - 5PM (in-store): Migration Magic. Call the store to reserve your seat.

  • Sunday, July 14th from 4 PM to 5 PM (in-store) - " Birds Rock! " - Taking a Closer Look at Why Birds Sing, this is a one-hour, family-friendly presentation that will be fun for all ages

  • Tuesday, July 30th starting at 7 PM (Island Lake State Recreation Area) - Friends of Island Lake Summer Meeting. This will be a great opportunity to learn about how you can get involved volunteering in the park

June 2024 Events

  • Saturday, June 8th from 8 AM to 10 AM (in-store) - Breakfast with the Birds Hikewill take you through 3 different habitats and help you identify birds with binoculars.
  • Thursday, June 13th from 7 PM to 8 PM (in-store) - Best Bird Dadsteaches you about the great things male birds do to take care of their mates and babies.
  • Monday, June 17th at 10 AM (Hamburg Fitness Sunny Days Camp) - Laurel is teaching the day campers all about why birds sing and will aid in planning other birding activities for them to enjoy for the remainder of the summer.

May 2024 Events

  • Thursday, May 9th from 7 PM to 8 PM (in-store) - Certify Your Yard will teach you how to make your backyard a sanctuary for native birds and plants.
  • Saturday, May 11th beginning at 8:30 AM (in-store) - Breakfast with the Birds is a hike led by Laurel through Island Lake Recreation Area.
  • Sunday, May 19th from 4 PM to 5 PM (in-store) - Ornitherapy will teach you how watching birds and nature affects you physically, emotionally, and mentally.
  • Thursday, May 23rd from 7 PM to 8 PM (in-store) - The Joy of Bird Feeding is a class that will help you understand what this hobby can provide for you and your feathered friends.

  • Thursday, April 11th from 7 PM to 8 PM (in-store)- Hummingbird: Nature’s Jewels will teach you everything about the hummingbirds of North America and what you can do to attract them to your backyard sanctuary.
  • Sunday, April 14th from 1 PM to 2 PM (Lyon Township Public Library) - All About Orioles will give you a rundown of the history of orioles, what species can be found in the Americas, and what brings them to your yard.
  • Tuesday, April 16th from 7 PM to 8 PM (in-store)- ENCORE Hummingbird: Nature’s Jewels will teach you everything about the hummingbirds of North America and what you can do to attract them to your backyard sanctuary.
  • Thursday, April 18th from 7 PM to 8 PM (in-store) - All About Orioles will give you a rundown of the history of orioles, what species can be found in the Americas, and what brings them to your yard.
  • Saturday, April 27th from 8 AM to 10 AM (in-store & outside) - National Go Birding Day Bird Hike. Start in the store with a brief binocular tutorial before heading out to for birdwatching at Island Lake.

  • Wednesday, March 27th from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM (Howell Carnegie District Library) - Miraculous Mason Bees.
  • Thursday, March 28th from 7 PM to 8 PM (in-store) - Bats of Michigan will teach you everything you need to know about these cool flying mammals.

  • Thursday, February 1st from 7 PM to 8 PM (in-store)- The History of Bird Feeding. Learn about why we started feeding our feathered friends.
  • Thursday, February 8th from 7 PM to 8 PM (in-store)- All About Owls. A great program that teaches you all about our earliest nesters of the season!
  • Sunday, February 11th from 11 AM to 12 PM (in-store)- The Love Life of Birds. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, everything you need to know about breeding and nesting habits of birds.
  • Thursday, February 15th from 7 PM to 8 PM at the Brighton District Library- The Love Life of Birds.

January 2024 Events

  • Sunday, January 21st from 4 PM to 5PM- Celebrate National Squirrel Appreciation Day! This in-store program will teach you everything you need to know about these critters.
  • Thursday, January 25th at 6 PM at the Brighton District Library- Birding for Beginners. Learn the basics about bird watching and bird feeding.
  • Sunday, January 28th at 4 PM- Hosting “Friends of Island Lake.” Join us in-store to learn more about this great group of volunteers!
